Marmoré is an Australian-owned online tile studio. We curate a tight collection of Italian, Spanish and Portuguese porcelain tiles, send you 10×10 cm samples to look at in your own light, and have your full pallet delivered direct to site.
Why this exists
Tile-buying is a high-stakes decision and a low-confidence experience. The catalogues are massive, the photos online don’t match the tile, and the Saturday showroom run takes six weekends out of your renovation. We thought it could be calmer than that.
So we built Marmoré around three things — a small, taste-led catalogue rather than an 8,000-SKU maze, real samples in your own light before you commit, and a tile calculator that turns square metres into the right number of boxes. The bricks-and-mortar showrooms still have their place; we just wanted to build the online version we’d want to use ourselves.

Why we’re a porcelain studio first.
Most of what looks like marble in modern Australian renovations isn’t marble — it’s porcelain that has earned its place. Pressed at 400 tonnes per square metre, fired north of 1,200 °C, then surface-decorated with the same digital printing the Italians invented twenty years ago. The pattern goes through the body. The colour doesn’t fade. The slip rating suits a wet-edge pool surround as easily as a hallway.
Real marble looks beautiful, etches with lemon juice, and stains under a glass of red. We sell it when the project genuinely calls for it — and we say so. Most of the time, modern porcelain gives you the look you wanted plus the life you actually live.
That’s why our catalogue leans heavily on the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese porcelain mills who lead the category — Marazzi, Italgraniti, Sant’Agostino, Fondovalle and a handful of specialist Spanish factories. They invest more per square metre in R&D than anyone else in the world, and the result is a tile that looks like the natural material on Sunday and survives the Monday school run.
When you see “Marble Look”, “Travertine Look” or “Concrete Look” on this site, that’s honest labelling. The product is porcelain. The look is yours.
What we’re not
- · We’re not a showroom. There is no showroom — order samples or visit our trade depot by appointment.
- · We’re not a clearance house. Every tile we sell is current-season stock from working mills.
- · We’re not the cheapest. We’re a fairly-priced premium retailer; we win on curation and convenience, not on undercutting.
